Our Story
Attorney Burton landed in Nashville in the 80's and spent his time studying biochemistry at David Lipscomb University and attending local punk shows in his spare time. After leaving for a short time to attend law school in Georgia, Attorney Burton returned to Nashville to focus more on his true passion of patent work and intellectual property law.

Randall W. Burton
Managing Attorney and Owner
Attorney Burton has been a litigator since 1992, and has been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 2001. He is a graduate of David Lipscomb University and the University of Georgia Law School.
David Griner
Of Counsel, Austin Texas Office
Attorney David Griner handles IP matters out of his Austin, Texas office. Mr. Griner is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and is admitted to the United States Patent Bar. He has been working with Attorney Burton since 2001.
Morgan E. Smith
Of Counsel, Nashville Office
Attorney Morgan E. Smith practices primarily in the area of family law, and serves as a consultant regarding ownership of intellectual property for married persons and handles any required prenuptial or postnuptial agreements.
